The Mac home automation controller Shion has added a new feature: support for integrated cameras. This should simplify any setup that includes the use of webcams to grab images on a scheduled basis, or in response to home events.

One particularly intriguing aspect is that ability to have Shion analyze each photo and discard it, if it's similar to the last photo. This addresses a common problem; being overwhelmed with uninteresting snapshot.
