Kudos to Nisus for providing their free interface to WordNet, called Nisus Thesaurus . I've been missing an easy-to-use WordNet UI on Mac OS X, and now I have one.

It's not nearly as compelling as the Visual Thesaurus I wrote about a few days ago, but the data is derived from the same source, and that's what ultimately makes either so attractive. If you're a writer, or want to be one, it's an essential tool.
